About Me

Hi I'm Cat, welcome.

I offer person-centred counselling in Norwich, providing a calm and supportive space where you can come exactly as you are.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that are hard to change, or simply wanting a space where you can talk openly without feeling judged. Life can sometimes feel confusing, heavy or lonely, and having someone alongside you who listens with care and curiosity can make a meaningful difference.

Having personally experienced how transformative the right therapeutic relationship can be, I understand how powerful it can feel to finally be seen, heard and understood — sometimes for the very first time.

At the heart of my work is creating a space where you can speak freely, without judgement or…

Ember: The Fire Was Never Truly Gone

Even after a fire has almost gone out, an ember can remain.

Small, quiet, and barely visible — yet still full of potential.

With the right care and environment, that ember can grow into warmth, light, and life again.

Ember Healing is built on the belief that no matter how lost, overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or disconnected you may feel, there is still something within you worth nurturing.

Counselling offers a space to gently reconnect with that part of yourself.

Because sometimes the smallest spark is all it takes.

How I Can Help

Every person's journey is unique. I offer a range of support tailored to your needs.

Becoming a mother — or simply carrying the weight of family life — can leave little space for you. You may feel as though you are constantly giving to others whilst quietly running on empty yourself. Perhaps you are juggling the pressures of work, parenting, relationships and everyday life whilst trying to hold everything together. It can look like: - Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted - Snapping more easily or feeling less like yourself - Struggling to switch off or truly rest - Feeling guilty when prioritising yourself - Carrying the invisible mental load of family life - Feeling lost underneath the roles and responsibilities you hold Therapy can offer space to pause, breathe, untangle what feels overwhelming and begin reconnecting with yourself again.

Anxiety is something we all experience as humans — but when it begins to take over, life can feel exhausting. You might recognise: - Overthinking and spiralling thoughts - Worry that feels difficult to control - Feeling constantly on edge or overwhelmed - Difficulty relaxing or switching off - Feeling trapped in cycles of fear, self-doubt or “what if” thinking - Feeling disconnected from the present moment Together we can gently explore what may be sitting underneath these experiences and build greater understanding, calm and self-compassion.

Over time, life experiences, expectations and difficult moments can slowly change the way we see ourselves. Examples of this: - Low self-esteem or confidence - Feeling “not good enough” - Being highly self-critical - Difficulty setting boundaries - Losing sight of yourself or your identity - Feeling disconnected from who you once were Therapy can provide space to rebuild confidence, strengthen self-worth and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have felt lost along the way.

Life transitions can feel unexpectedly difficult — whether that is children growing older, relationship changes, grief, retirement, loss, or simply moving into a new chapter of life. Sometimes loneliness exists even when we are surrounded by people. You may recognise: - Grief and loss - Loneliness or feeling isolated - Changes in identity or purpose - Feeling unsure about the future - Adjusting to significant life changes - Feeling emotionally “stuck” You do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone.

Therapy is not only about crisis or “fixing” something. Sometimes people simply need somewhere safe to stop carrying everything alone. I aim to create a calm, warm and grounding space where you can arrive exactly as you are — without pressure, judgement or expectation. Warm drinks, blankets, flexibility and creating an environment where you feel safe matter deeply to me. Over time I also hope to bring further nervous system-informed approaches and additional training into my work, supporting clients in reconnecting with both mind and body.
